Hi everyone,
I went out to Ward's Island today (finally after being sick) and was delighted to find that the Bohemian Waxwings are still there. I saw a mixed flock of cedar and bohemian waxwings on Snake Island, where I saw at least 2 Bohemians very clearly. Other highlights included two brown creepers (one in the brush five minutes east of the dock), 2 male yellow bellied sapsuckers (who were very conspicuous as they chased each other around), canvasback ducks, killdeer and a Mink! There is alot of activity out there and it is very noisy with all the mating calls.... quite alot of species seen today and most of the regulars are around as well.
Quite a good start to spring after being sick for over a week!
