Quite a few birds about. As usual they hang around in mixed groups and seem to roam throughout the spit. General summary without the aid of binoculars include:
Blue Jays
Northern Cardinals
Am. Song Sparrow (few)
White-throated Sparrows, both morphs in abundance.
Lincoln Sparrow x 1
Junco (few)
Kingfisher x 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglets (beyond count)
Golden-crowned Kinglet (few)
Winter Wren x 7
Eastern Towhee (male and female)
Hermit Thrush (few)
Northern Flicker x 2
Downy Woodpecker x 2
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker x 2
Myrtle Warbler x 2
Nashville Warbler x 1
Palm Warbler (few)
DC Cormorant

I'll post some photos later. Only got a few from the list.
Some tree-top warblers but without binoculars and a short lens I can't make out what they were.

Addendum to Mid-October at Ashbridges:

Many of the same birds still present but didn't see any warblers and no Towhee.
Slight decrease in the number of Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Slight increase in number of Golden-crowned Kinglet
Still spotted - Northern Flicker, Eastern Phoebe, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Brown Creeper, Hermit Thrush
Plenty of White-throated Sparrows and one male White-crowned Sparrow

The flicker, thrush and even a Phoebe gathered to feed on white berries that looked like dogwood berries
although I thought they were inedible.

Photographs to follow under photo section when I eventually offload them.

Sorry, forgot to mention the Blue-headed Vireo near the marina fence at about 10 a.m.
It didn't stay long but we had an intimate meet-and-greet.
It's that thing I seem to have with Vireos. They just can't leave me alone. Always in my face.
Which is a good thing.

Shortsighted and forgetful.
