For me of course. A Northern Gannet was reported seen for a while in Burlington Lift Bridge area. The day (Nov 23) I went to see, it was far out in the lake; however, managed to get a sequence of shots diving into Lake Ontario. The gulls were immediately on to him. It was a spectacle that will last in memory for ever. After a week or two of absence it was seen again flying around that area on Dec 8. My first sighting of a Northern Gannet was in PEI back in 2014.

Three days later on Nov 26 I went back to see the Gannet again, up close or in better light; however, it has moved on by then. So, I dropped by Paletta Park to see the White-eyed Vireo. The first time I saw one was back in August of this year in Durham, North Carolina. A very handsome bird.

Great idea for a thread (topic). Terrific feeling to encounter something you have
never seen before. Getting a photograph of it is just the icing on the cake.
I never knew there was a Gannet out in Burlington, although for me it might
as well be half way around the world. I like the sequence thing, a perfect vehicle to feature the Gannet's dive.
