I think it's also good to say hello here and this way.    

I did approach a birder once and asked him whether he was on this forum, and he gave me a cold no.

I love the gray jays, but how come they are all ringed?

The Algonquin Gray Jays are part of a 55 year plus long study.

They know all of the birds lineages and so on. They are quite worried about the effects of global climate change on them because they rely on cold enough weather to keep their stored food from rotting before they need it to feed their babies during the winter when new insects are not yet available. (Gray Jays nest while there is still snow!)

Great photos: I've never seen a Ruffed Grouse look so intelligent before; they usually look rather stunned!
