It appears that Bald Eagles are making a very strong comeback in Sothern Ontario. I remember when my daughter first started McMaster University in 2013, I made a trip to Coots Paradise to see a Bald Eagle nest from a distance. The nest was a big news then. Five years later in 2018, there were many sightings reported during the winter months. One such location was Hamilton Harbor. When I visited La Salle Marina park on a snowy day on Feb 3rd, I managed to see 6 bald eagles out in the lake fishing. That was the first time I have ever taken pictures of wild Bald Eagle fishing and fighting for a fish in Ontario. Then on March 11 I was fortunate enough to see an adult Bald Eagle fishing in Grand River near Brantford. The eagle was sitting on a tree by the river and then dove towards the opposite shore line and plucked a fish from water. Here are some photos from those two encounters. Hopefully in coming years these will be more common scenes.

You were certainly on the ball to capture these wonderful eagle moments.  As usual great clarity and action in your photos.   I hope I get to see more of these wonderful birds as we get into spring / summer.   I was lucky to find a pair in Ravenshoe today but was too far away to get any good closeups.
