Well, I don't think that I have ever seen so many Winter wren in one place.
I try to photograph one while another land beside me and gives me the stink eye.
One lands on my boot while I'm sitting down. This is nuts, but I love it.
I was expecting one might be in my backpack when I got home.
Golden-crowned kinglet also ubiquitous. Far fewer Ruby-crowned seen, and lots of
White-crowned sparrow, Song sparrow and Swamp sparrow. Fair numbers of Hermit
thrush just about everywhere. One Eastern Towhee, one Yellow-rumped warbler,
one Palm warbler, one Brown Thrasher, one Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and one Phoebe.
A couple of Horned Grebe still patrolling both the bay and open water on the east side.
Couldn't get a shot of either warbler or the Towhee.
