That's a whole lot of flicker you've stirred up there.
I haven't seen that much intense flicker activity since I watched my old vacuum-tube TV
with a set of rabbit-ear antennae.
If there are truly that many of them out there then there is a flicker of hope I'll get
a closer shot of one too ... someday.
I guess they will be heading farther north soon so you might as well capture them
as much as you can.

I heard about 4 when I took a walk late afternoon in my neighborhood. And I also learnt it the hard way that you can not out run a belted kingfisher, or two of them...
