The fall Warbler migration seems to have started. At Ashbridges Bay yesterday there were a number of different Warblers including some lovely views of Cape May, Canada, Magnolia, Blackburnian and others. Lots of Flycatchers around as well.

The best locations over the past few days have been in the trees near the parking lot, some along the willows and at the SW corner.  Of course, the joys of trying to photograph warblers in foliage and in low light abound...

Thanks for the heads-up about the fall warbler migration having started at Ashbridges.
I suspected as much after seeing American Redstart and Canada warblers along Highland Creek.
As you did, I found Myrtle, Cape May, Blackburnian, Chestnut-sided and Warbling vireo at Ashbridges, mostly as
juvenile birds. Also large groups of juvenile Starlings. Didn't see much in the way of flycatchers though.
Most of the warblers were in and among the group of conifers on the hill with the pair of benches near
the southern end of the spit. The collection of evergreen trees with cone litter situated on the hill with
grass all around looks like an island; indeed, I call it coney island.

I've posted some photos in the photo section.
