Great set. The Cape Mays have been abundant for me so far this migration. In all their confusing fall variations. :)

Hi Ally, well you see, it went like this .... the catbird was yammering away, all plaintive-like and it was
really getting on my nerves. I tried to ignore the whine of indignation, the constant protest and attention-
seeking rhetoric. So I brushed-off the fence post top, gave a quick sanative treatment and offered the podium
to that insistent catbird as a soap box to make the rant official. So we all gathered round, mostly just a squirrel,
a chipmunk and another catbird and lent our ears. It just stood there ... tongue-tied. Not a peep. We were not
impressed, but I took a picture just to remember the occasion. Catbirds will cat-call you from deep within the bushes
but when confronted, face-to-face, they're just cowards.

I'm surprised that I remember any of this. Usually after I take my meds the memories just vapourize.

HAHA, I meant the words on stump, did you Photoshop onto it? The shape is perfect with the curve. Recently I wasn't able to do much birding. But I had a stand off between a Redtailed and a Sharpie Shinned on my dead tree, and I also saw my first Least Bittern. Is the least bittern rare enough to be mentioned? There is something wrong with my computer, now I can not upload anything to this forum or to any of my several emails. So I can't show you what I was trying to describe, probably not that impressive any way.
