Hi everyone. This afternoon at Riverwood, after 25 years of birding, finally saw my Nemesis Bird, Red-bellied Woodpecker! (adult female)
A young girl was with her dad and she was trying hand feeding wild birds for the first time. She ended up with a White-breasted Nuthatch which returned over and over for food. Wow, what a fantastic bird to start with!
Lots of birds today including dozens of Blue Jays ... walk along the Red Trail to see these.
Wildlife - lots of Chipmunks and squirrels including my favourite Red Squirrels - they are so cute, noisy and full of attitude. Ha Ha!
