Thanks for posting your photo of the juvenile Common Eider.
Your shot is a good pose and captures the essence of this species's
salient features. Obviously, if the Eider is at a distance beyond the easy
reach of your lens then you can't expect to dedicate many pixels to
your subject. The problem is that now that I've seen your photo I want
to see there real thing. By the time I manage to get out to CSS it may
sink into the lake as a consequence of rising sea levels. Dinusaur said
he couldn't find the Eider on Friday and if he can't find it it must surely
have moved elsewhere .... such as Humber Bay park.
