Pretty shot indeed. 800 x 600 size seems to be a optiminal size for posting in this forum as it will eliminate the need to scroll the image to see is completely. They are everywhere this winter, I my home town there is a location within a drive of my house where 10-12 gather late day before flying over the lake to Amherst Island for their evening hunting activites. I watched this 3 nights in a row so it appears to be their schedule.

Great to see this Axman's special. Now let's wait for his Golden/Bald eagle shots that he took recently.

Paul I used "IFRANVIEW"  cropped that image as small as I could and re-sized it 800-600. It is still to large.!

Dino I have a bunch of Bald Eagle shots, that are a little dark,  No Golden Eagle.

I'll see what I can do I have photo editing software on another machine that I haven't used in Months.

Thank you Napper for posting this and my BE pic! I wish I knew how to make the pix smaller...and edit....I won't bother you again until I get pix of Bigfoot....or a Great Auk....

I snapped this guy in Feb 2017 -- he was the first snowy I had ever seen. I had been on the hunt for them for years and being part of this board was torturous. Some of you took great delight in posting pix of snowies perched on 400 series highway signs or other urban perches....taunting me...I started writing about my adventures looking for a a snowy for a local community newspaper. I had received a tip about a parliament of about 60  snowies in the Chesley area and that's where I found this guy (plus a few more -- 4)...funny story...one of the best tips I received on where to find them came from a guy on a stroll with his dog and daughter and they stumbled on the large parliament....my daughter laughed at the fact that this guy spotted 60 by accident and I couldn't find one....and often as we drove through blowing snow she'd call out loud "Wait, is that a snowy owl? Oh no....just blowing snow."
