Owls in Toronto and other birds

I've always been an avid nature enthusiast and since I upgraded my camera equipment last autumn I have been able to capture a lot on film. It's been really rewarding getting out to see what I can see and the surprise of seeing something new. I saw my first snowy owl(s) this winter at Tommy Thompson and Colonel Samuel Smith Park. On Family Day I saw an eagle perched on a tree in High Park. I have a lot of pics on my Instagram (@jbbeaton).

Just wanted to let you know that photographing owls is a bit of a sensitive issue in the birding world.  I mean it depends on how close you want to get...there are now many superzooms out there that allow you to take ok pictures from a long distance away that doesn't bother the owl.
