The small pond on the east side of Ressor Road (north of Old Finch) is now entirely
free of ice. The north end of the pond showed six Ring-necked ducks (five of which
are males). The inaccessible east side of the pond hosted two pairs of Green-winged
Teal and two male Bufflehead. Yesterday there was still some ice at the southern end of the pond.

Amos pond (north and south) is still frozen although there is thaw at the edges. Mostly
inhabited by Canada Geese but there are also a few Wood duck and Hooded Merganser.
The flooded woodland is thawed west of the upper pond. No sign of Eastern Phoebe but
there were woodpeckers: Hairy, Downy and Red-bellied. Have not seen a Pileated there yet.
