On Sunday, we went for a walk in Earl Bales Park (Bathurst & Sheppard). There were Blue-gray Gnatcatchers moving through the trees. We also found an Eastern Phoebe near the Don River. The Barn Swallows were chasing each other under the bridge. A Red-tailed Hawk (one of a resident pair) soared overhead.

In our yard over the past week, birds of interest have been 1 Pine Siskin, 5 White-throated Sparrows and 3 Chipping Sparrows, and 2 Blue Jays. A male Flicker and a male Hairy Woodpecker have been coming to my suet. I have 4 male Red-winged Blackbirds that consider our yard their territory. One male was displaying for a female.
