Catbird - Mississauga

Hi everyone. It takes a lot to shock me then the following happened!
Sunday morning May 19th at 10:30am - sighted a Catbird outdoors at SW corner of Square One Shopping Mall. He was walking along the sidewalk alongside people! I haven't seen a Catbird for a really long time and this behavior shocked me! He then flew out to middle of the road and almost got hit! I went to move him and he flew to the base of a nearby tree. I checked back a couple of hours later but he wasn't around.
I had really hoped to find someone with a camera to take a photo of this bird. Last time I sighted a Catbird was many years ago at Lake Wabukayne in Meadowvale - that bird was hiding in shrubs and making "mewing" sounds - initially, thought it was a kitten.
Reminder to self: there was just a Full Moon on Saturday night - affects people - and obviously birds as well.

Bird Brain, good on you for helping the Grey Catbird. I hear Grey Catbirds way more than I see them along the Etobicoke Creek. The Grey Catbirds do indeed like thick shrubbery habitat, so it is very difficult to see them.
