Many moths only come out at night, but some are active during the day. Here is a photo of a Three-spotted Fillip moth I found yesterday on a walk through the forest trail in the park at Todmorden Mills.

You have a sharp eye. Sans black tabs this moth resembles a bit of detritus and
could easily be over-looked. Moths often have that furry look which must create
a huge surface area. It almost looks like critters are living within those furry delta
wings, "passengers" ... if you will, and at ease with STOL behavior.
