Every time I hear the coopers 'laugh', I know the GHO is spotted. He winked at me today.

Looks like the resident owl knows the resident photographer well. You are certainly lucky to see the owl regularly. Have the Cooper's chicks made it? A lot of raptor chicks become of the prey of GHOs and that is true even for the Peregrines.

As a matter of fact, I didn't even know I had a reident coopers couple until the GHO encounter. I saw them courting before, but yet to find their nest. I saw the yellow billed cuckoo last week, but I was riding, and didn't bring my camera with me :cry:
