Hi All,

Today, even with the bad weather and all, it was still very good for birding in the park.  The tree tops were full of warblers but it sure was hard to look up at them as the rain was coming down.  Actually it was like this; 50% bird watching and 50% wiping the raindrops off the binoculars!!!  Oh well, getting wet was well worth it today.  The following is some of what I saw:

Black-and-white Warblers
Yellow-rumped Warblers (lots)
Blackburnian Warblers
Palm Warblers
Nashville Warblers
Black-throated Blue Warblers
Black-throated Green Warblers
Northern Waterthrush (one)
Great Crested Flycatchers
Baltimore Oriole (female)
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Gray Catbirds
White-throated Sparrows
White-crowned Sparrows
Hermit Thrushes
And a very wet Red Fox!!!

Happy Birding!!!

Today was another "festival of feathers" in this quaint little park with 41 species being observed.  Along with all the Warblers that were spotted yesterday, there were a few new arrivals today.

Northern Parulas
Cape May Warblers
Yellow Warbler (1)
Blue-headed Vireo (1)

Other birds of interest were:
Bank Swallows
Barn Swallows
Chimney Swifts
Baltimore Oriole (male)
Great Crested Flycatcher
and a pair of American Goldfinches and a pair of House Finches sitting together on the same branch (It would have made a nice picture).
