Another fine, healthy specimen but its seems to me that there have been fewer
sightings of Snowy owls this winter. There have certainly been fewer photos posted.
This shot is pristine. So clean it squeaks. Oh, wait, we can't have any squeaks or
else the Snowy will get excited and quit its regal pose for something more urgent
and sinister. Love those isolated perch sightings, especially with a clear blue sky
to contrast with the owl, something that does not work as well with an overcast
background. I wonder what this would look like in B&W with a red filter for the sky?
