I was out watchin the Thrush next door when it started to rain a little bit.

I saw black and orange and I thought "Oriole", Nope.. It was a "Redstart". Pretty cool day in the backyard.

It never stopped moving

They may stop moving for two reasons. A predator, or they're dead.
Fortunately your Redstart didn't view you as a predator and it was
most certainly not dead ... maybe stunned a little, by your persistence.
Whenever I write "persistence" I need to govern myself because I am
just so apt to write "pestilence". It;s a quirk.

Interesting,  pestilence! is my middle name according to my better half/wife.   :D

She usually uses other choice words and she came up with a few classic's like "dumbat"    :D

Maybe she should post a picture on this forum. Most of us have never seen
a dunbat. Would that be an Eastern Dumbat, or a Lesser Dumbat?
