Bunnies

Got back from Tiny Beaches around 7 pm. It was very quiet there in terms of birds.
Trip home was uneventful but I am disappointed that the GoPro did not record the entire trip.  because it was beauty..

Just before 9 pm my wife decides to water her garden and I let the dog out... our BC immediately heads for the back corner and sniffs out a bunny. "Roll some Benny Hill music". Tiny little thing scampers long the back fence then  Makes a 90 and heads under the deck.

The grass is so tall it struggled, meanwhile the dog is still sniffin in the corner and My wife said where? as the bunny ran behind her back foot.

Trap is back in the yard :!:  

Two years ago the little beggars ate 4 Jalapeno pepper plants, of course they waited until the peppers were almost ready to harvest. :roll:

They ate the peppers?? Did they ask for a shot of Tequila too?

I had a large rabbit in the backyard this morning at about 7 o'clock and it
was behaving oddly. It would suddenly retreat from a spot, bolting away
about 4 meters and then making a sharp 180 degree turn in order to quickly
return to the same spot it just seconds before quit. This relay was repeated
several times. After the performance was over the rabbit rolled in the dirt
like like a dervish. Maybe I have some toxic plants. Maybe just performance
art.

I was up very early. Saw the bunny jumping around. I guess they do play when they think we are not watching. I had the wrong lens at that time, since I need to film something today. But I decided to change lens because he started to clean his face.

Reminds me of my old TV, you know, rabbit ears!

I also had one under my regular feeder today. Unfortunately he was facing away from me so all I got were lots of rabbutt shots!

oh! TV as television. I thought, how did you manage to keep a Turkey Vulture as pet, what do you feel and where :lol:  :lol:  But on the other hand, this means I am hooked in this bird watching business Will take a couple off though, twisted my ankle stakeboarding yesterday :|

You have wheels on your stakeboard?? Sorry about your ankle (and that bad joke), better take it easy for a few days. I was rummaging in the garage and found my roller blades, brought back memories of racing around the neighbourhood before learning to brake properly! Since I am looking after my sick spouse, I think I'll stick to bird watching but the racing idea DID cross my mind....

I agree. Maybe not racing then.
Usually when I made a typo, there will be a redline underneath it. But I learned it the hard way, don't record your shadow on the cellphone on the 2nd day you are learning skateboarding. as a matter of fact, just don't.   :x

This little guy was here this morning, and he was moving towards me. He has a white patch on the forehead. Hope he will have a happy life

Well there will be no bunnies in my neck of the woods for a while....we see the young foxes EVERY day now....in fact they seem to be making a dent in the robin population lol.

I do miss the rabbits but...I've never had such easy access to a fox den before....although I think the foxes also deter deer...every summer we'll have a doe with twins in the bush in front of our house...last year was the first year we didn't...no sign this year either....in the past I have observed deer stiffen up and stare intently....only to find a fox move into view...now the fox wasn't paying any attention to the deer but I wonder if all canids get classified as dangerous.
