We left in a bit of a rush today, I had made a couple of mental notes to pack the the camera and bring some beer.
Dropped of Daughter at work and headed for Port Colborne. I had not seen My Mom since probably early April, yesterday we offered to help with some flower garden maintenance. So here we are on the 407 heading for Burlington when I realized my error, oh well she will have to go without beer for another few weeks.
We arrive in Port Colborne and immediately start with the work we set out to do. Open the garage door and step inside looking for a large bucket to put the weeds into and two male Baltimore Orioles fly by me. Wait, What?
My mom says to don't you remember the feeder I got for the Orioles? well they are still coming to it. So I go have a look at it, she is using Grape jelly and sure enough two males who "fight a lot" and one female are visiting her "Jelly feeder". The neighbour across the street has a similar set up and got one for my mom.
Personally, I have never seen a Female Oriole today was a first. It was 15 feet away and oh yeah, I forgot something!
I had a Beautiful blue sky brilliant lighting and yeah.
Oh! and My mom just sent this to me as I started this thread, I can't tell from her image if is an Oriole but you can at least see the feeder thingy. Was cool but sunny a good day for a "A Nice Morning Drive by Richard S. Foster" and some gardening
I apolgize in advance for spelling and grammar.
