I went out to pick some buttercups, but I brought the camera out even though it's windy. Hoping to find the cuckoo. Of course I didn't.

Did see many birds, only heard them, including the whining babies. Saw many worms hanging like that. Why aren't the birds picking them?

I also saw a different, blue and a little smaller swallowtail. But he kept perching among leaves and grass. My lens wouldn't allow me to take pictures. :|  :|

Talking about birds ignoring the worms, the song sparrow has a worm in the same branch and he isn't taking it. :D  :D  Must be well-fed this season.

Nice isolated perch shot of the Am. Song sparrow.
You have a surplus of Indigo Bunting and I have none at all.
Must be my punishment for being bad.
The 150-600mm certainly has a useful minimum focus for you
to get those insect shots. My 70-200mm has a min. focus of 1.2 meters
and even that really isn't enough. My kit lens can get closer but I seldom
had it with me. Are you using a thin extension tube?

Yeah, I think I have a total of 3 males in my area, one I can hear without stepping out. I have never managed to see any female in the neighbourhood though. Yes, I do have a thin extension tube, thank you for using my language by the way. :D  :D
