Willow Flycatcher

I don't have a olive-sided this year. Is this a willow flycathcer? I haven't really seen one before, so I'm happy, but I was a bit concern this he was very close to the flower patch that Monarch usually visits. Would be cool but sad if he takes the butterfly.

i am thinking Eastern Pewee, lack of wing bars or definitive eye ring, however it may be good for Olive-sided as well. I will let the experts weigh in, was the size larger than a typical Willow, Alder etc

Thanks, I thought about Pewee as well. I know for sure it's not an Olive sided, size fit for Pewee, but it was not as olive or cream so I didn't think it was.

I would go with Olive-sided Flycatcher over Eastern Wood-Pewee.

This bird seems to lack any prominent wing bars that an Eastern Wood-Pewee should display, as said earlier by Canoncan. Also, the vested appearance of this bird seems too strong for an Eastern Wood-Pewee. There is also some streaking shown under the wing on the flight shot, a wood-pewee should show a smooth grey side to the belly. Finally, the bill seems too thick and bulky for a wood-pewee.

Are these shots all of the same flycatcher?
The first shot shows an expansive white throat and upper breast
as might be seen on a Wood Pewee and less so on an OSF.

Exact same bird. Pewee it is.
