Really bad weather, really sleepy today. But I want to post some last pics on this site. Goodbye Golden-crowned kinglets, I want to think I see sadness in his eyes, although I am sure he only sees Gnats.

House finches, right? I love how the couples are always always together, and they are talking all the time.

I'm still waiting for House Finches to show up. A Purple Finch sighting would
be fabulous but I'm not holding my breath. Even the sparrows have departed
(WT and juv. WC) and if I put out any seed the jays and squirrels will find it
even before I fully get back into the house. Yesterday there was nothing in
the yard and the seed looked depleted so I went out and spread a few hand-
fulls. I heard a sound and looked up to see a jay on the eaves trough just
waiting for me to leave.

Well, do leave them to eat in peace. My landlord doesn't allow me to feed birds any more, since he found too many squirrels in the cherry tree. When the juncos returned, and I was in tears to break the bad news to them. White throated sparrows, juncos came first thing after they arrive, and I can't feed them :|  :|
