First winter.An adult in eclipse plumage (summer) will look similar to a juvenile.One was also spotted in the east from Thickson Rd area in Whitbydown on the lake from the private residential road ... not the bestplace to photograph one.
Some of your photos look like the birds are on the verge of saying something to you. I call that good photography. I wonder what would they want to say given the ability. We have a house sparrow trapped in the school cafeteria for more than a month now. I do wonder what he wants to say to his wife, and explaining where he is all this time.

Nothing profound, I'm sure.Small talk ... you know ... how bout dem Bluejays, eh!At the zoo, they put a kids program on a video monitor and placed it in front of the hyena.It was so existed it kept pacing back and forth until it figured it out and it's laughing it headof now. I'd like to think what the hyena thinks.
