First Hummer of this season

I spend about 15 minutes in the woodlot across the street yesterday and it was as dead as always ... no warblers. I did hear a RCK singing a couple of times before silence vanquished the trill. Then I spotted a RB Grosbeak and almost immediately a RT Hummingbird

Same woodlot, same time of day but a little warmer today. No hummer seen but the grosbeak appeared again and this time both male and female birds. Vociferous wren (house) that quit the scene as soon as I moved. Still no thrushes besides the ubiquitous robins. Still no warbler and no kinglet was singing. The grosbeak was in serenade mode but no contest with the wren whereby the record got stuck. Seems odd to say that. Have a turntable but without a cartridge (no stylus) and it just sits there reminding me of wow and flutter. Now I get my dose of wow on this forum and my flutter when I actually get to see a real bird.

Nice, I was on the deck just  now and watched my first Hummer in Milton visit the Lilac bush next door.
I was in Port Colborne on Thursday morning and at 8 am while on the deck I had Male and Female Baltimore Oriole land at Mom's feeder thingy while I was sitting 5 feet away. A little while later I was buzzed by a Hummer as it flew by the edge of the deck.
