A little more varieties. I wish I could get up earlier for my bird walks.Got a Black throated green, and two finch like bird that were quite puzzling. I first mistook them as black and white warbler. Then came home and saw the beaks.

The cooper's was driven out and I was not in the best position for it. By the leftover deer, I found the first frog of the year.
Killdeer did some Yoga between killing.

Spotted a Savannah Sparrow, running by the water. Glad to have got some shots.

The Blue Gray Gnatcatcher was curious about the sparrow, so he joined us.

The Humber area is certainly much livelier than here in Pickering where things are quiet. You have shots of both female and male Purple finch. Not the light-coloured eye brow on the female and the extension of red/purple down the flank of the male instead of merging with dark streaking as would be seen on a male House finch.

Thanks for the confirmation. The female was quite high up and against the sun, so the coloring was tricky when I saw them.
