Going on a 9 week overland in South America starting in Rio and ending in Quito. It is not just a birding trip, but one birds anywhere, anytime, most of the time. Time frame is
Sept. to Nov. Going to the Pantanel, Izagau Falls, La Paz, Cusco, Lima etc. Any suggestions for bird books. Bought "Birds of South America" but have discovered it is only for Non-Passerines -Rheas to Woodpeckers. Meaning of Non-Passerine?? This book is by Francisco Erize, Jorge R. Rodriguez Mata and Maurice Rumboll. Bought it at Open Air Books. Guess I'll have to go back for the Passerines.
Thank you in advance for info.
