Ice can be a source of form and texture when it is not busy being a pain in the ass.

Unwashed dishes

Evil Chimera

Abrasive obstacle

Swiss Cheese

Did you take them today? Do you still have any of your own fingers?
They are so artistic as always. The 2nd one is my favourite.

I also like ice and snow formations. Haven't ventured out this winter yet.

I have a few from previous years.

Mother Nature can be quite the artisan. It's just a matter of browsing through the gallery of Her creations and pick-up whatever you might fancy. Your sweeping captures shows me that you get the big picture. My cropped sensor does not provide a very wide frame without using a very short focal length lens, which I don't own and therefore cannot deploy to effect.

I have never used a full frame camera. Sometimes cropping can give a pano effect.

Sorry, I assumed you were using an FX sensor, which offers a very significant panorama with an 18mm W/A lens. Using such a lens on a DX sensor mimics what would be seen in the viewfinder of a 28mm lens coupled to an FX frame. That is certainly wide, but not astoundingly so. When the subject is spread along a horizontal zone across the frame then cropping does deliver a pseudo-panoramic result. I used it for "Like-minded Skippers" and also for "Snow Dunes" as well as many other times when the top and bottom of the original frame were without merit. Sometimes however, I am forced to stitch two or more frames together to achieve coverage of the subject, as with "Little Rouge Elbow" and "Fowl Play".Like-minded Skippers

Ice as medium but closer to home.  Feathered visitor of a different sort ... but also one that didn't stay very long.

I froze leaves and flowers with water in the plate. Ice as  medium.
