Hi everyone. I was at Riverwood yesterday morning from 8-9am. Very icy trails - this Sunday should get rid of ice/snow with +17c predicted!
Sighted:
Cardinals
Chickadees
Crows
Woodpecker (unknown) pecking inside a tree. Possibly a Hairy, too loud for a Downy, too quiet for a Pileated but there are also Red-bellied here!
Birch tree with medium size hole with small nest inside made of twigs, leaves and mud.
Lots of hungry squirrels (black + grey) taking almonds from my fingers.
So far in March in Mississauga just seeing the "usual" - Canada Geese, House Sparrows, Mallards, Black Ducks, Mourning Doves, Pigeons (Rock Doves), Ring-billed Gulls and Starlings.
