Unfortunately, I've had to disable new-member registration for the time being. For those interested in the gritty details, let me explain what's going on.
Spam-bot have been flooding the forum with bogus new-member registrations for the past several months now. While this was somewhat manageable for a while (with the help of some anti-spam tools that flagged suspicious registrations), I've just discovered that Gmail has started blocking emails from this forum, declaring any new-member-welcome-emails as themselves spam. - This may have been partially due to quantity (we were getting over 200 fake registrations per day last weekend) and partially because at least some of the spam-bots have been using real-people's emails (I received a few direct emails from people who said they never actually signed up), and I'm willing to bet some others just flagged those unexpected emails as spam.
As a result of all this, some genuine new members haven't been able to receive their welcome emails, and any attempts at directly emailing them just bounce back.

Until I can figure out how to get Gmail to unblock emails from this domain, any potential new members should email their interest directly to the admin email.
