In a Rouge field that wasn't I thought that I spotted a blood thirsty carnivorous towhee, but then realized that it was only stuffing its pie-hole with berry pie, or maybe just berries. Still, Halloween is coming up and a carnivorous towhee might actually be a thing. They go straight for the throat like those rabbits in Monty Python's Holy Grail quest.
There were also juncos and Hermit thrushes and more robins than was reasonable for one location. I stumbled into the Thrushian League at rehearsal. I even saw one juvenile Am. Redstart, all dazed and confused. I may need to start wearing a hoodie in wind like this.
