American Lady butterfly

While there are Red admirals in the backyard every day, usually at least two of them, yesterday I noticed a butterfly that was slightly different, particularly when it spread its wings to reveal orange/amber/black colours.  At first I thought it might be a Painted lady but then noticed the white dot on the wings, which I believe makes it an American lady.  I'm open to correction.  Anyhow, I grabbed my telephoto and took a few pics.
