On the York/Durham Town Line road just south of Concession Rd #3 there was a RT hawk perched in the trees counting blue cars.  I don't think it saw that many.  On the Concession road itself there were crows.  There were lots of crows.  Counting them was tedious and so I stopped counting when I hit 50.  Counting them was murder.  Get it?

Came across a Red-tailed hawk again in the same general area.  It is quite likely the same hawk that I've seen before, several times.  We encounter one another often enough that I need to come up with a name, although I'm not sure if this hawk is a male, or a female.  I know, ... I call it Ethan ... Ethan hawk.  This time Ethan came rushing across the road and landed on a guard rail.  I slowed, then stopped.  I noticed someone walking down from the adjacent farm with an urgency that suggested that he also saw Ethan.  I gradually backed-up along the shoulder and Ethan flew into
a tree ... predictable really, the guard rail was a poor choice.  I took a few shots in the dim light.
