go to link to see photo (forgive poor quality) svp
further description:
thin white extended tail
wings half black (lower), white tips, mixed upper
beak upper & lower different colour
beak sparrow-like (?)
back yellow
yellow is striking orangey-yellow
forehead white 'W' (?) then brown/buff then white on crown
fearless: photo taken from close by, flew very close to human heads, also saw apparently affectionate head butt with sparrow
is this maybe a part-albino but of what? goldfinch?

Welcome to the forum. I don't know if I can help with this ID. Where do you live?

It really doesn't look much like anything native. I suspect it's some type of tropical finch, escaped from its cage. That would also help explain the behavior.

I, too, will be of no help. But when I first saw the picture, the thought that came to my mind was "Brambling". I don't think it is. But it's what I thought. For what that's worth.

Julian thinks it may be a Juvenile or Female Evening Grosbeak.
