Today Ian Cannell and I birded The Islands again and it was another beautiful day to be not inside.

Although most of the birds were found on the east end of Ward's Island we did ultimately come up with 20 species of Warblers including a good look at an Orange-crowned Warbler along with N. Waterthrushes, Ovenbird, N. Parulas, Blackburnian, Palm, Blackpoll, Cape May,  Bay-breasted, Wilson's, Tennessee and the usual Warblers to be found at this time of year.

We also had a fly past of a mini flock of 5 Long-tailed Ducks, as well as 3 B. Kingfishers, 3 Vireo species including Philadelphia, 5 Raptor species including Cooper's and Broad-winged Hawks and Osprey, Swainson's Thrush, Carolina Wren, 11 G. Catbirds, 24 N. Flickers, Alder, Least, Yellow-bellied and Great Crested Flycatchers, and 11 G. Catbirds.

Still among the no shows are the Thrushes, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Sparrows but they are coming.
