Yikes...I didn't realize it was up for sale...apparently went up for sale in September...I had just posted a reply recounting my fond memories of it...the last time I was there, I had taken a young male kestrel who was apparently suffering from an inability to catch prey...I think he was a vegetarian...
I remember how Ms. Inman used to let visitors hold out dead chicks on outstretch palms and she'd call the great horned owls from the trees...how they'd stealthily glide in and take the chick from your outstretched palms...that was back in the 80's...
A very magical place...it would be like killing a mockingbird I think to let them build homes on it.
