Juv Bald Eagle

This morning at 9:30 am at Kingston Rd and Main St. in Toronto.  Bald eagle flew away appr. 10:30.  Ann

Below was taken at Leslie Spit on Oct 4, just across the foot bridge where the Cormorants used to be:



It came from the downtown area, passed overhead once and went back north right away.  Could it be the same one?

I got the feeling the eagle I saw was resting overnight - then left to move on again.

Very nice Ann... it's quite late for a migrating BE. Cranberry has _no_ BE's in all of November.

I've had BE's at Bluffer's Park and Leslie Spit most winters.

At Bluffer's Park, the BE's will set the gulls off from a good 1km away.

Thank you for your comments.  You asked how far away I was.  I have a 400mm lens. I was standing on the sidewalk and the eagle was in a tree above a one and half story house appr. 600 feet in and 800 feet up.  When he left I couldn't get both his wings in my frame - they were too large.  He was not bothered by us or all the neighbours, kids or adults looking at him.  We had quite the crowd watching.  The eagle was watching the blue jays and red tail hawk both who were bothering him.
