It looked and felt like winter at Sam Smith Park today, but there were mixed signals from the wildlife:
The Red-necked grebes were dressed in their winter grey & white, but calling like it was spring. Meanwhile a beaver was bringing a small tree (or large branch) to his food pile as if it were still fall.
I was there searching (unsuccessfully
) for the Snowy Owl which has apparently been making intermittent appearances for the past week or 2.
