Went for a stroll today on a very windy beach.  Here's a few for your viewing pleasure, hopefully next time I'll be able to stalk closer.

And to give you an idea of how many ducks were in each flotilla:

And finally, I know it's not a bird, but I thought this shot turned out rather well.  If you head out please watch your step and don't go climbing all over rocks like these.

Nice set, my faves are #3 & #4. Good pics. You can send your swan tags at this link for tracking purposes, you may be able to make out the first tag. This is for trumpeters mind you, can't quite see the faces to tell. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words JTF, most appreciated.

I've spoken to the people at Wye Marsh and am sending them hard copy pictures as they don't have email accounts big enough to handle the size of the photos.  Each photo will have the date and location of each of the sightings too, in order to help them find out where their birds are heading to.

Along with the 2 in the photograph above, I also saw a family of untagged Trumpeters with 4 juveniles shown below and also 4 Mute Swans sitting on the edge of a very crowded ice flow.
