These were taken last week. Coming back to this cold was quite the shock. Took a walk down Pipeline Rd. but it was easier to see the birds at the Gamboa.

Snowy Egret

Blue Crowned Manakin

Southern Lapwing

Black Breasted Puffbird

Tiger Heron

Crimson Backed Tanager

Keel Billed Toucan

White necked Jacobin

Smooth Billed Ani

Slaty Tailed Trogon

Golden Hooded Tanager (not sure about the two in the bg)

Collared Aracari

Blue Crowned Motmot

Nice shots, and some neat looking birds.  The egret looks neat with the black background.  What's the red bird in the 6th picture?  It looks really cool.

Fabulous shots! Great to see the diversity, the stunning beauty and colour the rest of the world has to offer.

FYI: You didn't have to leave for the cold to be a shock... let me assure you (smile)!

I like the Toucan and Aracari in particular.  As for the Egret, the contrast and exposure are great.  I think it would look even better if there was more canvas below him.  Its a very easy job in Photoshop, just select Image>Canvas Size and add black canvas to the bottom then crop as you see fit.  These shots make me want to go south ASAP.

Great shots.  Any chance you could label all the images with species names?
