robin in January brrrrrrr

There was a lone robin in the woods this afternoon, Sat Jan 17, when I walked my dogs in Bayview/St Clair area.....it seemed to have survived the deep freeze in good shape. Should I be leaving cans of cat food or something for it to eat?

you may be surprised to know that they can find tons of food, berries, seeds and they often over-winter. There are about 50 in high Park right now.

I was surprised to see one yesterday in my cedar tree looking around. Instead of sitting on the tips he was sheltered inside.
