How good is the spit for woodcock? I've seen reports of them in the past, but how hard are they to find? Anything photographable, or would I be best off going elsewhere?

I believe Thickson's Meadows is likely easier.
I had a Woodcock go ripping out of the woods into the meadow last year, and even tho we saw where it landed, we didn't see it till we almost tripped over it.

While I don't know the numbers, I did see one banded at the spit last year. So they are there, just not sure about numbers.
