Hey!!

Good stuff!, I've never tried the ponds.. I'll have to take a trip tomorrow..

Around 11:00 this morning lots of activity..  10 Red Winged black birds heading North overhead. Tons of Crows. A few more Robins.

1 Coopers spectacular attack, banging thru the spruce tree next door.

Raining now.. Just think, last year this time we had a snow storm that dropped more than a foot of snow.. I didn't see any migration until 3rd week of March

Hey I was at the scotch block also today and saw the same merganzers right near the road. A first for me as I am rather an amateur outside of our backyard feeders. There were many other birds way off in the distance but didn't have binoculars  and raining too much to go explore.

Fresh report from the scotch today.
Great blue herrons
2 Northern shrike, along the same road 2 mins drive north before it dead ends again

Not 100% but possible song sparrows.
 Lots of killdears
Did not have the binos, but the lake has at least 4 different types of ducks.

Saw our very impressive breading pair of redtails, she/he is a biggun.
Turkey vultures.

and a gang of AM robins, grackles, starlings,RWBB and crows that counted into a 1000 easily.

Plus plenty of the typical types romping around.

and anywhere from 6 to 8 calls that i did not recognize.

I just had a song sparrow under the feeder.
