I keep seeing this bird, but cannot find it's name?  Anyone know what I am seeing?  Thanks.  :?:

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

Similar to a blue jay in that it has a crest?  Might be a tufted titmouse - they are 3" or so smaller than a jay.
Similar in size could be a mockingbird or catbird, they are a bit smaller than a jay.

there is a grey jay but they are northern birds, have no crest. No idea whether they ever venture south?

Not any of the ones you suggested... it looks very similar in all characteristics to a Blue Jay but lighter, Greyish in colour.
