Today I went back to Bluffers park in search of the Gadwalls and Hoodies.  After searching high, low, in the shadows, in the sun, in the lake, and in the marina, I resolved that I just couldn't find them.

So what did that leave?  Gulls.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, I spent some time shooting some gulls today.  Below you'll find some pictures of a Paler Juvenile Iceland Gull that I found on the western beach causing a rucous amongst the Ring Billed Gulls.  There were 2 of them at the beach, and I'm most certain that anyone with glass measuring 500mm+ will be able to get some decent shots of these gulls in some great light should they put in the time.

Cheers, and C+C are more than welcome.

Thanks Jo-Anne and Mark, your comments are appreciated. It's actually quite neat to watch different gulls and the way they interact with each other, especially the bigger ones like the Icelandics.

I just wish I could have a faster lens to get some better flight shots, but I'll just have to wait until the money's there!

Photography is very addictive, methinks.
