I think I spotted a sandhill crane at Lynde Shores Conservation area on Friday. We heard his loud call before we saw him and I took a few distant pictures of him as he flew over. (I'm very new to this site and I don't know how to post photos)
Is this possible or was it wishful thinking on my part?

There have been 4 reports of Sandhill Cranes in Durham Region in the past week, including Halls Road.

Hi Suecan: I'm a newbie too and have not added photos to reports yet but like you I would like to.
In the board related items section there is a thread "adding a photo" that explains some of the procedures. They may help.
I'm going to give it a try.

Thanks Jim,
You are the only person who has responded to my request for help. I didn't even know  the board related section existed, but I did read the instructions and I will give it a try too.
As a new member  of any site it's often hard to break in to the site culture. I noticed someone made a suggestion some time ago that it would be nice to welcome new members , but obviously that didn't happen.
