Having never been birding in Mississauga before, I went yesterday to some of the places mentioned by Jo-Anne in her post "a wonderful weekend of birding in Mississauga"  Found some great places to walk such as Meadowvale Conservation Area, but not as many bird sitings as I'd hoped for.
Rattray Marsh also a great walk, but saw just a few redwings, a pair of cardinals and a golden crowned kinglet.
I had better luck at Timothy Street Park where I saw a red tailed hawk in a tree just at the entrance of the cemetery and a brown bird about the size of a robin-some kind of thrush maybe.
Thanks for all the great suggestions Jo-Anne-I will definitely go back when there are less people about and maybe more birds.
I would  like to post a photo of the hawk and the brown thrush like bird, but am still  not sure of the correct way to do it. Are there easy instructions somewhere?
Thanks
Sue

Sue ... I'm really excited and happy to read your thread/posting!   :D

Very cool that you went to check out some of the parks here based on my "Wonderful Weekend ..." thread.   8)  Thank You.

I still don't know how to post photos here in the forum.    Literally need someone to show me in person how to do this!!!

Jo-Anne  :)

Don't know if this helps, but I had my share of photo troubles until someone told me to 'de-select' the Disable BBCode in this post.  In other words, there should be no check mark in that box.

I'm pretty sure this isn't going to work either. Will someone please put me out of my misery and help me with this?
Thanks in advance
Sue

So now it seems to be opening as an image, right in the post rather than a link. Any suggestions?

Hi Sue: Neat pic of a redtail.
The url that you copied contains "thumb" at the end so the image in the post is a thumbnail of the original pic. If you click on the pic in the post, the full size pic opens.
I found somewhere that to get the correct url, right click on the pic in photobucket that you want to post then left click on properties and copy the url that shows here with the [img] at the beginning and end.
This may work, I'm not that far along but maybe we will get there.
